Edwards, on the Oxwich Nature Reserve, in particular on the work done
to restore the lakes back to open water, fen restoration and the CAN (Communities
And Nature) project, an initiative to get Objective 2 money to provide facilities

FOCUSED IMAGES OF AN OUTSTANDING AREA Former Gower Society president Harold Grenfell, Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, author of the 1985 black-and-white Gower Images and the 2007 colour Gower in Focus, presents a selection of his fine photography in this meeting postponed from March. In an
illustrated talk, history comes alive as landscape detective Neil
Thomas speaks of the drovers, uncovering remains of Grange Lane - a sunken
track used in the thirteenth century by White Monks from Neath Abbey through
West Cross to the sea.

Morris introduces the contents of the 59th volume of the Society’s
annual journal Gower, while Harold Grenfell,
whose photographs have featured on the cover of so many journals (as well as
often enhancing articles inside) will show some of his slides. Gower
59 will be available for purchase, or for members to collect their
complimentary copy.

information spreading out in many directions and delivered as always with a
light touch that belies the speaker’s authority on his subject.

Strawbridge will give an illustrated talk covering the scenery and history

some more recent developments.
