Gower 62 is out now! Some shops have them now.

Gower 62 was launched on 19th November at a well attended meeting in Sketty Parish Centre. Quite a lot of members came early to collect their Journals. This must have saved the Society quite a few pounds in postage - almost £1 per copy. Extra Journals, the new greetings cards and some of the Society's books were on sale too.

In the first part of the meeting the Editor, Bernard Morris, described the contents of the Journal. This year’s volume seems to be up to or above the usual high standard. He thanked the contributors and encouraged anyone with something to contribute to write it up and send it to him. “Papers do not have to be long” He finished by thanking the editorial team for their invaluable support.

Traditionally the second part of the evening is taken up with a slide show by our official photographer, Harold Grenfell. He, of course, designs the Journal and provides photographs for it. This year was no exception and we were treated to something different – a selection of pictures of that most elusive insect the butterfly.
